Today i installed ubuntu alongside windows 7 on my laptop and also setted up a java EE development environment.
I decided to change to java from .net some while ago, it is a difficult decision and it will be difficult to learn java and dig deep into the tech stack of java from null, because i have occupied c# for 10+ years.
In the future i will write down my learning logs and share them.
during today installing of ubuntu and java EE envrionment, some blogs help me as below:
1. Windows 7下硬盘安装Ubuntu 13.04图文教程
http://www.linuxidc.com/Linux/2013-04/83479.htm
but this article has a trivial bug in configuring the GURB : the file extension is missed, if not, it will occur a error : file not found.
title Install Ubuntu
root (hd0,0)
kernel (hd0,0)/vmlinuz.efi boot=casper iso-scan/filename=/ubuntu-13.04-desktop-i386.iso ro quiet splash locale=zh_CN.UTF-8
initrd (hd0,0)/initrd.lz
2. Setup complete Java Development Environment on Ubuntu using Eclipse IDE and Tomcat Server
In IT world, there're many ready answers to the questions you meet. just google. haha!
ps:
why i write the blog in english is that i do not install a pinyin IM in my ubuntu.
it is my next move to install a sogou pinyin or some others.
