If all your SAN devices are functioning properly, you have to spent much of your SAN management time in allocating storage resources and giving access to them . just as mentioned like that , pls check steps:
1. Create virtual disk and tape divices through a process called virtualization .
2. Create zones or use LUN masking to create data paths between the virtual storage resources and the servers that need them.
3. Use persistent binding to create a permanent relationship between each virtual resource adn a SCSI ID on a server.
4. Use multipathing software to take advantage of the multiple physical paths between each storage resource and each server.
