除了下载cetia4外，合适的j2se环境和web容器也是必须的。这个框架在下面的环境中做了主要的测试：
• Sun Microsystems JDK 1.5.0_06 installed on Windows XP.
• Jakarta Tomcat 5.5.16
在linux环境中，用同样的tomcat版本也做了成功的测试。
Framework 的开发环境是eclipse 3.
其他的环境配置（j2se，java servlet api 2.4）也能很好的工作。Any input is greatly appreciated in this respect.
一个空的工程在示例中发行了。这个工程在被用作这篇指南的例子。在示例的/web-inf/lib文件夹下，包括cetia4.jar，以及其他的依赖jar文件。
下面的例子和话题假设这个基本的配置已经导入到开发中，并且所需的编译器和servlet环境已经安装配置好，可以使用了。
