We study electron transport through a normal metal-quantum dot-topological superconductor junction, with the edge of the superconductor dominated by a Majorana bound state (MBS). Characteristic positive and negative differential conductance features serve as fingerprints of the MBS. For an isolated MBS, a zero-bias peak of height 2e^2/h is observed while, when two MBS are tunnel coupled, the peak splits into inelastic cotunneling lines, allowing accurate readout of the coupling. Moreover, a finite lifetime of the parity of the Majorana system qualitatively changes the transport spectrum. Hence, the proposed setup can measure the parity lifetime, a limiting factor for the application of MBS as a platform for topological quantum computing.
