Negotiating a raise
Asking a raise seems like a daunting task. How to ask for a raise without sound arrogant or demanding? When negotiating a raise, do not just say you need a raise and you deserve a raise. You should focus on how you meet and exceed the demands of your job by making a list of the highlights of your accomplishment. And before negotiation, you should research what others in similar positions, with similar duties, and in similar companies get paid. Use this as a gauge for the request.

Negotiating a promotion
Self-confidence and self-assuredness is a must when climbing the corporate ladder. Seeking a promotion is similar to negotiation for a raise in that your task is to sell your boss on your value, negotiating a deal rather than making a demand or asking for something in return for nothing. You should adopt the attitude that you are offering to take on more responsibilities in exchange for greater compensation. Building on a base of accomplishments, suggest that you could be more useful in a position of greater responsibility.

1、          I’m not just making a request for my own interest, but making an offer for the good of the company.
2、          Well, this is not the right time to talk about it.
3、          Is that decision final?
4、          That is not acceptable, I’m afraid.
5、          Under such circumstances, I have no choice but to go elsewhere.

7、          We could work that out , I suppose. 这一点可以考虑
8、          Another thing I’m concerned about is …
9、          As an alternative to this, we could offer …
10、      To tell you the truth, …
