They invited me to share some information of application today. I think that's a pretty good opportunity to give back to the community and reach out talented applicants.
In fact, my application result is not very desirable. I applied 6 schools but only accepted by 2. This makes me realize that I'm not so competitive in the pool.
So if I want land a job during the 2 year study, I should work harder than most of my classmates. That wouInld be a tough process.
But only after suffering in such a process and surviving can I grow into a more competitive one in the market. I have to spend much money and time on this. Does it worth it or not? I'm not sure right now. But I decide to have try. No matter how the result will be, I think I will not regret. Because this is what I'm after for so many years.
Fight on!
Inspired by others' posts, I learned that I should start searching jobs since now. The first step is to narrow down some large tech companies who recruit a lot of MBAs, such as Google.
The second step will be try to reach out people who work in such companies -- mainly from Chinese and alumni in LinkedIn and alumnus database.
The third step is to send them short messages and emails and wait for those who respond.
The fourth step is to communicate a few times with these people and try to schedule a time to talk face to face.
The fifth step is to ask them to send my resume to their HR and prepare for the interview.
