JVoiceXML is an open source implementation of
VoiceXML written in Java. JVoiceXML is currently in the
pre-alpha stage. It's not a full implementation yet but it looks to be a great start. The code looks to be of very high quality. The first pre-alpha release was made available today (January 19, 2005), so this is about as fresh as it gets. Worth keeping an eye on.
